Monday, May 15, 2006 been doing tons of reading the past couple of days. well, its ages since i read like what i just did. its call obsession reading. hahaha... i love to read a book and won't stop until i finish reading it. the feeling is actually quite great. especially when the ending is very unexpected and am so touched by it and you know, have that conclusion that "this is life". my obsession for chinese novels started back in secondary two, i guess. when everyone ard me are reading english novels, but i just love chinese ones. as time past, i developed speed reading for it. especially for the top to bottom, right to left ones. ok, not that fast but faster then the speed i used to read books. some ppl thinks that chinese novels are draggy and boring, but i dun think so. i especially loves love novels, it always give this very pretty scene. very different from english books, and the emotion is always rich. but well, i admit most of them are unrealistic. finished two books in two days. on average 5hrs per book. the first one was the second time i read it.  its abt childhood and destiny. i esp love this book, one of my all time fav. read it abt 2 and a half yrs ago. there's this boy and this girl in the story. they're taught by the same piano teacher. the girl came from a well off family and was very talented in music. in the other hand, the boy was once in a rich family too, but a day before his 4 yrs old birthday, his parents got killed in a car accident, and his uncle brought him up after that. end up actually his parents are in huge debt and all their property were sold off. one day the piano teacher discovered him and found out his actually a genius in music. so the piano teacher taught him for free as his uncle was poor and reluntant to let him learn. so both the boy and girl met thru the class and became childhood sweetheart. when they were 8 yrs old they took part in this piano competition that the winner will win a scholarship at london royal academy of music. of course the boy was very eager to win as this is a very rare chance and to him, a last chance, as his uncle will not let him learn piano any more if he lost this competition. anyw, the girl performed very well and therefore, the boy was even more nervous, the first part he played very well, but just at that moment, a drop of sweat dripped on his eyelash and blurred his vision. thus, he can't control the keys and the second part was a mess. since then, his life and piano was never placed tgt again. in the end, the girl won the competition. she was very sad as she hope the boy would win cos her parents have the ability to send her to london whether she won a not. and since then, the both of them never meet again, until, one day sixteen years later. and the story continue. the boy actually hated the girl and piano these 16 yrs, he hate his destiny. he never reply any of the letter the girl send him. but after they met again he realised he still love her. the girl also realised she still treasured the feeling, but she alr have a very great bf. the story actually was very complicated lar. but they did not end up tgt. hah. but its a very nice story. it make us realise destiny, every little thing that happen in our life will change our destiny.  this is the second book. i bought it quite long ago but never have the chance to read. this story is much more realistic... and very sweet... its abt a girl and a boy, that was classmate when they are 16. then one day, the boy's bestfriend paid him to follow the girl home everyday after sch. (as his friend had a crush on her) but the girl realised it and followed him home for a few days instead. and after that she realised she had a crush on the boy. and she played a game with him. she will give him three chances to solve a question, he must give his ans at the end of everyday, at the end of three days, if he still couldn't ans correctly then he must stead with her. the ques is "egg came out first or chicken came out first"... so cute right? she made use of this and have dates with him for three days. end up he didn't ans correctly and they are tgt. there's a lot of story in between. but in the end, six yrs later, they went for a holiday at phuket, but sadly, the tsunami came while the girl was swimming. of course end up the girl die... and the guy tried very hard and end up became a pilot. cos when they are tgt, the girl always ask the guy to become a pilot cos her dream is to become an air stewardess. its very very sad in the end but very touching. but last chpt kindda unrealistic... anyw, gd story... gonna start reading another book later...
